Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before getting in touch. If your question is not answered here, Vishal is always happy to have a conversation.
Honest answers to the questions we hear most often.
We believe in complete transparency before any couple commits to working with us. The questions below cover everything from how we work on the day to how we handle music, travel and deposits. Read through, and if something is not covered, simply get in touch.
THE TEAM
-
The Montage and The Spotlight includes two cinematographers, covering both morning preparations simultaneously as well as the ceremony and reception. The Cinematic includes three cinematographers, allowing for complete multi-angle coverage throughout the entire day. For multi-day celebrations and pre-wedding events such as Mehndi or Sangeet, additional team members join depending on the scale of coverage required. This is always discussed during your planning call.

Wed in Motion specialises exclusively in film. We do not offer photography in-house. However, we work closely with a trusted network of photographers who understand our approach and share our standards. If you would like a recommendation for a photographer who would complement your film perfectly, we are always happy to suggest someone whose work we genuinely admire. A well-matched photographer and filmmaker make for a far better experience on the day and a far stronger set of memories afterwards.
THE FILMS
-
For the trailer and shorter edits, Vishal makes the creative call on music, it is part of the filmmaking process and the music is chosen to serve the specific emotional arc of your film. For the longer feature films and Family Archive, we welcome your suggestions and will always take them seriously. Once the edit is complete, you will have the opportunity to request changes, including music, before final delivery. Our aim is always for the music to feel completely right for your film, and we work with you until it does.
-
We believe wedding films should be crafted, not rushed. Every edit is thoughtfully refined, from cinematic colour grading to immersive sound design, ensuring your story is preserved with the care it deserves. For couples who choose The Feature or The Legacy, a bespoke Instagram reel is delivered shortly after the wedding so you can relive and share those first moments while your full film is being completed.
-
Yes, where the location, weather and legal permissions allow. Drone footage is used when it genuinely adds to the cinematic quality of the film, not as a default addition to every wedding. We hold full CAA drone certification and always carry out the necessary permissions and risk assessments in advance. For destination weddings in Europe and worldwide, we research and comply with local regulations in each country. If your venue has specific restrictions, we will discuss this during your planning call.
PRE-WEDDING EVENTS
-
Yes and we love filming them. The Mehndi, Sangeet and Garba nights are often the most joyful and visually rich events of the entire celebration, and they deserve their own film rather than a few clips edited into the main wedding film. Pre-wedding coverage is available as an enhancement to any package.
DESTINATION AND TRAVEL
-
Absolutely, and destination weddings are some of our most cherished work. We have filmed in Verona, Barbados, France and across Europe, and we are available to travel worldwide. Travel costs, including flights, accommodation and any local logistics are discussed openly at enquiry stage and added transparently to your package. There are no hidden charges. If your wedding is taking place somewhere extraordinary, we want to be there.
-
We have filmed at a wide range of venues across the UK and worldwide, including Offley Place, North Mymms Park, Coombe Abbey, Botleys Mansion, Quendon Hall, Hylands Estate, Addington Palace, the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Northbrook Park, Dulwich College, Euridge Manor, Villa Rizzardi in Verona and New Mayapur in France, among many others. If we have not filmed at your venue before, we research it thoroughly in advance and where possible carry out a pre-production visit or call. Familiarity with a space helps, but it is never a prerequisite for exceptional work.
BOOKING AND INVESTMENT
-
Once we have spoken and agreed that we are the right fit for each other, securing your date requires a deposit which is a percentage of your total package cost. The exact percentage is confirmed during your enquiry process. Your date is not held until the deposit is received and your contract is signed. We work with a limited number of couples each year, so we always recommend securing your date as early as possible. The remaining balance is due closer to your wedding day, with the exact schedule confirmed in your contract.
